EXER MORE THAN URGENT CARE OPENS NEW MEDICAL FACILITY IN MANHATTAN BEACH

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

California’s fastest growing privately-owned ER alternative is built and staffed by ER Doctors and offers patients more medical services than a typical walk in urgent care.

LOS ANGELES (JANUARY 24, 2018) – Today, Exer More Than Urgent Care opened a highly-anticipated new medical center on the South West corner of N Sepulveda Blvd and 33rd Street in Manhattan Beach, CA. Exer is California’s fastest growing privately-owned ER alternative that’s built and staffed by ER Doctors and offers patients more comprehensive medical services than a typical walk in urgent care.

“Our goal at Exer More Than Urgent Care is to help people feel better, faster, and we are honored to open our doors here Manhattan Beach today,” said Rob Mahan, Exer More Than Urgent Care chief executive officer. “We are ready to provide the South Bay with a convenient and affordable alternative to the Emergency Room, ideal for when conditions become urgent or serious but are non-life-threatening.”

With on-site X-Ray, IV, Lab, Splinting, Laceration Rooms, Diagnostics and other services, Exer offers patients more comprehensive medical services than a traditional walk in urgent care. Each center is staffed with on-site ER Doctors who have on average over 15 years of experience stabilizing and treating patients in emergency medicine.

“Here in California nearly one-third of all ER visits are not considered to be true medical emergencies. That’s why we’ve carefully designed Exer to combine the best clinical expertise with the comfort, care and convenience people want, when they need it most. At Exer, we can stabilize and treat over 80 percent of cases seen daily in the local ER with far less waiting, and for a fraction of the cost,” Mahan added.

Mahan said Exer’s expansion to the South Bay would not be possible without the support of their partners at Providence Health & Services.

“Providence is the third largest not-for-profit health care system in the United States and we are working closely with their hospitals to help bring emergency medicine directly in to more communities across Southern California. This partnership helps patients access the level of care they need, while saving time and money, which ultimately eases the strain on local emergency departments in the areas we serve” Mahan added.

“The opening of Exer in Manhattan Beach is a fantastic achievement as we work to increase patients’ access to quality and affordable healthcare,” said Erik G. Wexler, chief executive, Providence St. Joseph Health, Southern California Region. “We congratulate our partners at Exer and salute their continued efforts to expand medical services in Southern California.”

In addition to Manhattan Beach, Exer operates centers in Redondo Beach, Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Newbury Park, Northridge, Sherman Oaks and Santa Clarita. Each facility is open seven days-a-week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with little-to-no waiting and last patients are registered daily at 8:30 p.m. Exer accepts most PPOs, most HMOs, Medicare and offers affordable payment options for those with minimal or no health insurance.

EXER MORE THAN URGENT CARE ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL EXER SPORTS & SCHOOLS™ PROGRAM RAISED OVER $51,000 AND OPENS 2018 REGISTRATION

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

California’s fastest growing privately-owned ER alternative is built and staffed by ER Doctors and offers patients more medical services than a typical walk in urgent care.

LOS ANGELES (JANUARY 19, 2017) – Exer More Than Urgent Care announced the healthcare company’s inaugural community fundraising program, Exer Sports & Schools, raised over $51,000 for high school athletics across participating schools in 2017 and opened registration for the 2018 program. The innovative community fundraiser aims to help make high school athletics a reality for student athletes in communities served by Exer More Than Urgent Care’s team of ER doctors and medical staff.

“Congratulations to all the participating high schools who helped make our first annual Exer Sports & Schools a remarkable success for high school athletes and school athletic departments here in Southern California,” said Rob Mahan, CEO of Exer More Than Urgent Care.

“As an ER alternative that’s built and staffed by ER doctors, we’re experts in emergency medicine. However, many of us are parents who care deeply about living an active and healthy lifestyle. With that in mind, we developed Exer Sports & Schools as a simple way to help where we can in the communities we serve . On a set day for participating high schools, we’re happy to lend our medical expertise to cover the cost of each athlete’s sports physical, while providing a fundraising opportunity for the respective school,” Mahan added.

All Exer facilities have on-site X-Ray, IV, Lab, Pharmacy, Diagnostics and offer patients more comprehensive medical services than a traditional walk in urgent care. Because each center is staffed with ER doctors who have on average over 15 years of experience in emergency medicine, Exer can stabilize and treat 80 percent of cases seen daily in the ER with far less waiting and for a fraction of the cost.

Within a few months of launching Exer Sports & Schools in 2017, Exer had dozens of high schools registered and actively participating in the inaugural program. Mahan says Exer Sports & Schools is a big win for high school athletic departments looking for a fundraising opportunity.

“The $51,000 raised in 10 months last year by athletes, their parents and supporters wouldn’t have otherwise been possible. Combined with the outstanding feedback from the schools, our staff is humbled and motivated to make the 2018 program even bigger and better,” Mahan added.

Registration for 2018 Exer Sports & Schools is open and Mahan urges high schools not to wait to register their school.

“From dates to details, there is a lot to organize and a narrow window of time on the school calendars to make these successful efforts for each school. Register today by walking in to the nearest Exer facility and ask to speak with the clinic manager,” Mahan said.

Exer owns and operates 7 centers in Southern California including: Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Newbury Park, Northridge, Sherman Oaks, Redondo Beach, Santa Clarita and will open an eighth center on Wednesday January 24th in Manhattan Beach.

Each center is open seven days-a-week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and last patients are registered daily at 8:30 p.m. Exer accepts most PPOs, most HMOs, Medicare, and offers affordable payment options for those without health insurance.
