We Love Kids at Exer!

From newborns to young adults, we help kids of all ages.

Sometimes your child needs to be seen by a doctor faster than your pediatrician can accommodate, and we can help. Every Exer – More Than Urgent Care clinic is designed with treatment rooms specifically for kids. And with on-site lab testing, x-rays, and pharmacy, we’ll have your family on the way to recovery in no time. Our doctors and medical staff have a huge amount of experience with pediatric patients. Understanding both your and your child’s concerns and addressing them quickly and with gentle care is something we take great pride in.

After we’ve treated your little one we’ll be happy to pass along the details of the treatment to their regular pediatrician if you’d like to follow up with them, just let us know.

Physical Exams and Evaluations

Exer physicians can perform a variety of routine and specialized checkups.

Walk into any Exer clinic any day of the week to have a physical exam. All of our urgent care locations offer a full variety of physical examinations to suit your needs including:

Please bring any required paperwork at the time of your visit so we may complete it for you during the exam. Many exams require a doctor’s signature on the form that the employer, camp, activity, school, sport or DOT provides so this step is very important.

DOT Physical Exams

Need a DOT or DMV physical exam? Exer’s got you covered for just $100.

The medical staff at Exer – More Than Urgent Care clinics are qualified to perform physical examinations that meet the requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for commercial drivers. You don’t need an appointment, just call the clinic location of your choice to confirm that one of our certified DOT/DMV examiners can see you at your convenience.

Please note that we register our last patient at 8:30pm. We are closed Thanksgiving and Christmas and have shortened hours on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.

Corporate Care: Occupational Medicine and Workers’ Compensation

Exer supports the employers and employees in our communities.

Our Employer Services focus on job-related medical issues, workplace injuries, pre and ongoing employment issues and urgent care. Employees can walk into any Exer urgent care center any day of the week for evaluation and treatment. No appointment is necessary. We offer:

  • Treatment of workplace injuries such as sprains, strains and breaks, lacerations and wounds, eye injuries, and burns
  • Diagnostic services such as drug screenings, tuberculosis tests, EKGs, X-rays
  • Physical exams such as pre-employment and new hire exams, physical capabilities assessments, return to work clearances, annual and periodic exams

When it comes to workers’ compensation, we establish a close partnership with the employer to figure out the best plan of action for their injured employee, adhering to your company’s workers’ comp protocols and coordinating outside medical referrals when necessary.

In addition, many of our employer clients send their employees in for standard Occupational Medicine services like pre-employment screenings, physicals, drug tests and more. The fact that we’re open on evenings and weekends means that employees can be seen at their convenience outside of their employer’s work hours, and they can get back to work faster, feeling happier and healthier.

Don’t Chance Getting Sick During Flu Season

Walk into any Exer urgent care clinic to get your flu shot.

Flu Shots Have Arrived!

Exer’s got you covered during flu season. Our influenza vaccinations are quick, inexpensive, and they’re the easiest and most effective way to avoid getting the flu.

We offer 3 types of flu vaccines: Exer Flu Shot, Preservative-Free High-Dose Flu Shot and our High-Dose Flu Shot (for Seniors).

Be sure to get inoculated early to give yourself the most protection. The flu is one of the most well known viruses. According to the Centers for Disease Control:

  • Symptoms of the flu include fever or feeling feverish/chills, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches, fatigue and/or vomiting and diarrhea.
  • The virus spreads mainly when people who have the flu cough, sneeze or talk, releasing droplets that land in the mouths or noses of people nearby, who then become infected.
  • Most adults are contagious 1 day before flu symptoms appear to up to 7 days after symptoms begin.
  • Flu vaccinations greatly reduce your chances of getting the flu. They work by causing the body to develop antibodies that provide protection against the virus starting about two weeks after the vaccination is administered.
  • Everyone six months and older should get a flu shot this season.

The flu virus is highly contagious. By getting a flu shot this season you’re not only helping to protect yourself against catching the flu, you’re also helping to protect your loved ones and your community.

Note that if you are currently sick, you cannot get the flu shot, but come into an Exer clinic and we can screen you for the flu with a rapid influenza test. If you do have the flu and we catch it in the first couple of days then we can give you a prescription antiviral to treat the virus. If it turns out not to be the flu then we can help treat the symptoms and get you feeling better faster. Once your symptoms resolve then you can come back for a flu shot.
